Angela lives at Uralba in the Northern Rivers area of NSW surrounded by birds, wildlife, cows and bananas. Diversity is important to her and reflects her interests in oil painting, drawing and mixed media.
Colour and texture feature in the works, stemming from her childhood love of fabrics, wools and embroidery cottons. The colours and lustre of oil paints, use of silk threads and application of coloured papers are all important to allow expression of ideas through her art works.
Each series has its own sense of narrative which usually includes reference to people and everyday life. Angela has a special passion for dogs, birds and themes from the iconic Australian dream (including cattle dogs, the verandah, the FJ Holden and the toilet “out the back”) .
